About the event
On October 29th, we will gather for our first Service Sunday, assembling “Blessing Bags” for Maine Needs as part of its work in addressing homelessness. Worship and the project together will take roughly the same amount of time as our regular worship and fellowship time. At 10:00 a.m., we will gather in the Sanctuary for an abbreviated worship service. We will move to the Fellowship Hall for a brief presentation by Maine Needs and then we’ll assemble the Blessing Bags. This is a wonderful opportunity for hands-on mission and ministry that makes a real difference to real people. It also highlights one of the partnerships that FPCC has with the wider community. This project is suitable for people of all ages and abilities.
We’re confident that funds within our current budget can be used for this project. If you’d like to contribute directly, please note: Blessing Bags on your gift.
Thanks to Katie Casper, Binks and Judy Colby George, Seth and Jill Webber, Leigh Kirchner, and Linda McDougall for bringing this project to life. If you have questions, or suggestions for a next Service Sunday, please call (846-3773) or write to me. – Jill (jhsmall@firstparishyarmouth.org)
