Come join the FPCC Investment Committee for a presentation from the Genesis Community Loan fund. Genesis is a local nonprofit lender based in Brunswick that provides low cost capital to developers to build affordable housing. Affordable housing is a critical need in southern Maine. There are many reasons including sky rocketing real estate prices, the rising cost of building materials,
AirBnB, and the pandemic, which caused building to come to a halt for several years.
The Investment Committee is exploring the idea of making an investment in the Genesis Fund. Individuals can invest in the fund too. We would be joining foundations, faith based organizations, banks, and individual investors in supporting the fund.
