$$$Contribution Statements $$$
To ensure that your church contributions are tax deductible, please do not file your 2018 income return until you have received a written acknowledgement of your contributions from the church.
Per the IRS, your contributions may not be tax deductible if you file your tax return before receiving a written acknowledgment from the church. We expect to mail out contribution statements around mid-January.
Please review your statement and notify the church office as soon as possible if you find any discrepancies.

YEAR END SOLICITATION FOR THE ENDOWMENT
An important message from First Parish Church regarding 2018 year-end gifting opportunities.

The Stewardship Committee wants to encourage members and friends of First Parish to include the First Parish Congregational Church Endowment Fund in their year-end planning.

• Have you experienced the positive energy of First Parish?
• Do you see the joy as people of all ages become engaged in our work?
• Are you thinking about recognizing First Parish Church in your year-end planning?
• Are you interested in supporting the long-term sustainability of First Parish Church?
• Has your portfolio appreciated?
• Do you hold low cost basis securities with significant capital gains?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, please consider these timely opportunities to make a tax-deductible gift.

  1. Make a gift of any size to the FPC Endowment Fund by the end of the year, 12/31/18.
  2. Make a tax free gift directly from your IRA (if you are 70 ½ or older).
  3. Give a direct gift of appreciated stock to avoid paying taxes on the capital gains.
Include First Parish Church in your Will or as a named beneficiary in your estate plan and be recognized in the Steeple Society.

Call the church office at 846-3773 or contact a committee member with any questions.
Fondest regards,
First Parish Church Stewardship Committee:
Reverend Kent Allen Julie Benavides – Ministerial Fund, Moderator
Abby Douglas
Robin Hodgskin – Chair
Martha Lawlor
Meg O’Neill – Church Council
Sally Swanson – Church Treasurer
Seth Webber – Church Council

Coffee Hour -There is a new signup sheet on the bulletin board. There are openings from January 20 – through May. You may bring your own snacks or check the bottom shelf of the freezer to use what we have. We supply the frozen lemonade and the half and half for coffee. You would come in one hour before church to set up and clean things up after coffee hour. If you have never been a Coffee Hour volunteer, we will mentor you on your first Sunday. Thank you for your consideration.
